Award winning Sandsend GP Surgery and Dwelling, designed by Ric Blenkharn of Bramhall Blenkharn and developed and detailed by me following the granting of planning permission.

 

A truly unique seaside home above a valuable community facility, the house has superb coastal views from Sandsend Ness down to Whitby harbour and the Abbey, particularly through the full height glazing from the first floor open plan living dining and kitchen area.

 

Numerous details were prepared in order to realise the original vision from the ashlar sandstone through to the purpose made glass and steel dining table. Most of these photos were taken shortly before completion at Christmas 2016.  The house won the Best Individual New Home category of the LABC Northern & Yorkshire Region Building Excellence Awards 2017 and has been entered into the national awards.
