An award winning new four bedroom dwelling within a village ‘washed over’ by the Green Belt near York replacing a small two bedroom bungalow. Designed by me whilst at BBL and completed in Spring 2014. The photographs was taken just prior to completion and the computer model was prepared as part of the design process.

 

The house creates a spacious home on place of a cramped bungalow that suits a young family. It incorporates a number of renewable technologies including, solar thermal and solar photovoltaic panels and an air source heat pump.

 

The house later featured in the Property section of the Yorkshire Post and was ‘Highly Commended’ in the Best Individual New Home category of the LABC Northern & Yorkshire Region Building Excellence Awards.
